Hair Extensions. Just any info on them please?

I am going to be getting some hair extensions. Just one of those packs of 18 clip ons.

I just wanted to know if there were any precations i need to take, or any ideas you have for looking after them. Also whats a resonable price to be paying?

They are not real hair but a synthetic type I think.

Muchly apreciated. ;D

Real hair would've been better.

Just don't use any heat styling tools on your extensions. As it'll melt and crimp if you do so and will leave off toxic fumes..

Make sure you brush/comb it very carefully too.

If you really like them, maybe invest in some human hair (eBay have good deals, just be careful...likewise with a hair salon).

Enjoy them!

I use clip in extensions too.

On the instructions it suggests to take them out whilst showering (Which is a given really :l) also, dont sleep in them as it would be really uncomfortable and they get tangled.. I have slept in them many times (when my boyfriend used to sleep over, he didnt know it wasnt my realy hair) suffice to say they looked rather strawy and tangled in the morning, however theres no major problems with sleeping in them.

Another inmstruction is to alternate where you put them in the hair to reduce damage to your natural hair. Ive never experienced any damaged hair though.

Lastly, Do not wear them ALL THE TIME, if wearing all day have like 3 day breaks from wearing them..also a load of rubbish, theres nothing wrong with wearing them everyday...

But I suppose they have to be over the top with precautions so you cant sue.

As for taking care of them.. if they need washing, just get a bowl of warm (Not hot) water, with a bit of specialised extensions shampoo and swish around..dont rub.. leave to dry naturally. They have a range of styling products, they are not recommended for use with normal hairsprays etc.

I would recommend using real human hair ones though, theyre fairly cheap and feel a lot softer with the added benefit of straightening and curling them, after a while you really need to straighten them as they get frizzy.

In the UK, youre looking at around 鎷?5-50. You can get them off sallyexpress.com in a variety of colours and also two twone. They come in strips for about 鎷?5.99 each and you will need about 3 for a full head. I also recently bought a full head set of ebay for 鎷?5.00 which are great too.

have a look around, theres loads of great options about! :)

i have real human hair extensions in at the moment and mine are weaved in, which for me is better because they last longer and you can straighten them. ive never had mine glued or clipped in because i think that's a waist of time unless you don't want them in for to long.

I use micro ring extensions in my hair and my clients hair.

Make sure you always buy them with silicone linings so they are secure and buy a good quality shampoo, redken or paul mitchel (a well known brand amongst us stylists is SO salon only)

make sure whoever does it uses a TOP quality salon grade hair extension we all use HAIR FANTASY hair extensions they are available to salons only but you may be able to get your salon to order them in.

go to www.hairfantasysalonsupplies.com or ring them on 02 49508710.
