any websites that give info on care etc?
I have been researching them for a week now, and if you google it you can find great sites on the hair types, how long they stay in, the quality, ect... Hope that helps. And good luck on your new look!!
Ive had extensions numerous times...
Use the right kind of brush (extension brush)
Hold hair at roorts while brushing if youre brushing out tangles
Sleep w/ hair in loose pony to prevent tangles
Dont wash hair in sink (if sew-in)
Dont apply heat, conditioner, or product to bonds (if glue-in)
When washing hair, Use lots of conditioner on ends of extension hair otherwise the hair starts to look way dry.
Dont pick at glue, wait for the professional to take them out for you (if you have glue-ins)
Try washing your hair only every other day or every other other day
Use hair syrum on extension hair if hair still looks dry after conditioning and blow drying
If glue in, redo or take out after 3 months or less(dont go longer than that, they'll look gross)
If you have sew-ins, tighten them after 5 weeks (no longer) and use same hair only for about 4 months
If you have glue-in, get a slight extensions hair cut after a month or so
p.s. With extensions, a good ceramic flat iron becomes your best friend
good luck and have fun w/ them
P.S.S. Raccoon does make the best glue in!
You could try 'Racoon' which are the most popular hair extension specialists, ive had hair extensions three times and if yopu get them done at a proper place they will offer you there own shampoo, conditioner and styling products ect. Please get them done with a reputable hairdressers otherwise you could end up ruining youre hair! Hope they turn out well!
just google it im sure there are plenty of sites. Good Luck x I wanted to get hair extentions done but i had a quote for 鎷?00 so i thought i would just let it grow its self!!
Try hothair.com they are very helpful.
hair extentions are weaved like stitched into your own hair, or they can be glued into your hair.{ hairline}. if you have a sally store in your area you can buy them there.they are somewhat cheap. look on e-bay they have them too. i already have really long hair, but the extentions can ruin your hair like when taken out your hair falls out with it. they are hard to manage as well. you should do a research on them before considering to get them. good luck.
as in "leopard" or "coontail" patterns.
i know where to buy the extensions, but they're solid colors and i want to dye them.
take a few strands through out and color them with reg hair dye and then wrap the individual chunks of strands in foil so you dont mix the two colors.
the hair has to be HUMAN HAIR
cant dye synthetic sorry
This is a follow up to my question:
Can this client take me to court?
I would like to know how much it would cost to have hair extensions analysed to determine the and prove the cause of poor condition? (ie : is it clients poor aftercare or is it the supplier providing a faulty batch?)
I think it would have to be a forensic trichologist?
Thank you :-)
Hi guess what my friend has just done exactly this! She is sueing the company for bad extensions and she is a hairdresser herself. The hair extensions were glued onto hair that was too fine and it gave her bald patches, my friend did not pay for this! the costs will be taken from the salon she went to if she wins! xx
According to the Web Some hair clinics do it for free. (expert trichologist) Type it in....
1 millon pounds and 1 pence
ask them for their brochure and ask them how much it will cost , you could ask two 0r3 or few to get some idea, may also check if there is an association but if you want to sue them also add other expense and discomforts/ problems you faced because of this ask for much more then actual cause, go through some other cases and work out the cost of your suffering. .
their are all kinds of extensions you have
fusions
clip in's
glue in
sew in's
braind in's ect...which are you talking about
cheap pony tail ones no-professional ones that look real, yes that's why they're so expensive.
can you buy them in the UK (plz add links)
http://www.hairextensions.com/manufactur...
They work great!!
good luck!!
Try going to the Home Shopping Network's website. You may be able to find them there.
oh my god, like i totally dont know.. but seriously, that would be,like, awesome!!! so ,like, good luck girlfriend....you totally have to let me know... i've been looking for those like evrywhere!!!!! go jessica!!!
go to the beaty supply store and get the glue remover. there is also a pineapple shampoo that helps. it will cost you as little as 5 dollars for both. you could also use baby oil or any type of oil product. pull the extensions out slowly, do not rip them out. i did that the first time and lost a bunch of hair. good luck.
Just pull them out from under your arms.
scissors
just get hair hair glue remover just get it from where you
had your extensions done dont panic
your best bet would probably be to go back to the place where you had them done and get them out professionally then just don't get them again......there is usually a guarantee at most salons where they will fix your hair for free
The hair extentions will come out over time. I had them done once where you put lotion on the sot of the extention, and then vinegar oil, and they come RIGHT OFF!
Try it!
id go back and get them out...... sorry im a safe dont do it yourself person....
What system was used? Sewn in, glue or keratin bond? Sewn in can be removed by a friend and a seam ripper, glue and keratin bond should be done in salon. For most keratin bond you must wait another 3-4 days for the bond for break properly to remove. Best of luck.
get ur hair cut, or get them taken out by hairdressers
back to the hairdresser you go !
What kind of extensions did you get? Great lengths or lord %26amp; cliff bonded to your natural hair and require a special solution made by the manufacturer to remove. If they're weaved in, just have someone unwind the thread from the braids. If you got the glue adhesive kind, you can go to a beauty supply store like Sally's and get a remover. Ask the person behind the desk for more help.
recruit a friend to help you get them out carefully so you don't hurt your hair..or go back to the salon where you had them done...if they were sewed in you need a seam ripper to get them out..if its glue..you need baby oil or mineral oil..just be careful
go back to the hair salon and get them removed.
please what ever donot pull them out this will distroy your natural hair and will pull out your own hair its very important that they are taken out by a proffesinal the glue stops the hair from breathing which makes hair brittle so by pulling out this could cause you to have bald patches.
I know last time i had extensions in the hairdresser removed it with acetone (costing 鎷?0), but i am not sure exactly how to do it. Help please!
I don't know about acetone...but just go back to your hair dresser and have them take them out. If you try to do it yourself it could be disasterous! I had someone come into my salon who had tried to take them out their self and ended up having to cut all her hair off! It was TERRIBLE! If they're bonded extentions they have a spray that they use to take them out. If they're weaved I would still just go to the salon. Better safe than sorry
The safest way without damaging your hair is to go back to your hairdresser and have them removed. Good Luck.
you need to weaken the bonds and make the hair nice and slippery then you should be able to just slide them off. use a conditioner on the bonds to loosen them and then use the acetone to remove the gunky bits of resin left on the roots.
Its a time consuming and irritating process because you can't see what you are doing.
Good luck!!
Get a hair cut
Hehe some funny answers............Lol
Twist the bond the opposite way you should hear it snap then slide then out ( you could take talk your own aswell thouht) , you should realy go to the hairdresser to get them out thought, thay will have the lotion to get them out easier, dont take this the wrong way but if you can pay the money to get them put in then you can afford to pay the money to take them out.
I have 18 in extensions and used a volumizing shampoo by mistake, I have been trying to detangle this mess for hours! HELP!
USE a REALLY "Greasy" Substance on tHE Hair Extensions ! !
hmmm volumizing shampoo shouldnt have done that, i always used it when i had extensions in.
You just need to get a comb and hold the piece against your head by the track as you slowly work out any tangles.
It probably wouldn't look good, get a wig. They have human hair ones that you can have stiched on.
...that would be no
yes
sure u could but like Sleepless said, it won't look too good. whats wrong wit a boy cut though? i love it :P
unfortunatly if its too short they might not be able to glue the hair extensions onto you natural hair and if they did it might look abit silly but then it all depends on how short your hair is. your best off just going down to a good hairdressers and asking.
As long as your hair is not really, really short, your hairdresser could put clip on extensions in, or if you know how, you could do it yourself.
I want to know how these extensions are applied. I went to the website and they don't give any information on the process. All they say is that no glues, waxes, or chemicals are used. So...just curious I want to know how they're put in.
im not sure about how dream catchers work but i do kno that paris wears fusions extensions or lace front wigs
From what I heard, Paris comes to your house and puts them in. I mean, she's out of jail now, so just buy them and wait!
Here is a ton of information I am not sure if you have researched or not http://www.dreamcatchers.com/ParisHilton...
Hope this helps
or mess it up in any way when you take them out?
Okay, listen to me. I have had glued in extensions so many times I can't count. So I know what I'm talking about.
They can damage your hair, but only if you put them in often. The glue is a chemical, so it can damage your hair. Has it happened to me? No.
Also, the weight of the extenions has put stress on the folical and cause the hair to fall out. Not all your hair, but probably a couple strands.
And you can take them out without having to pull them out resulting in breaking your hair. Just soak the weaft in conditioner (put the conditioner in when your hair is dry. In other words, don't try in the shower). The glue will soften up and they will slide right off your hair. Or you can use the oil, which I don't recommend because it is impossible to get all the oil out of your hair. I'm talking washing it like 10+ times.
So just put them in, nothing bad will happen as long as you take care of your hair. And don't put them in all time.
閳?br>Can glue-in hair extensions ruin your natural hair?
yes that's why im getiing clip in extenstions
you hair gets soo messed up when u have to rip ito ut. only get it professionally done
doesnt the glue block the hair roots from growing?
after time....yes, all extensions can over time
Yes it does. For best results go to a salon or weave it in. Braid it then have someone sew it in.
There is a possibility that glued in tracks can ruin your hair, but as with any extensions if they are not applied or removed correctly there can be major damage. It is best to go to a salon because they know where to place the glue and how much to use, also know how to remove them gently. If you are in a position where you have to remove glue in extensions on your own, I would suggest you use oil. And there's a product actually called "glue-b-gone" you can find it in hair/ beauty supply stores like Sally's they sale a product called Proclaim Super Bond Remover Oil and they have it in a Shampoo.
So you can get a beautiful glue in extension without damaging your natural hair so long as A) its applied by a professional and B) it is removed be a professional or patiently and carefully using the right products.
yeah once I got them and all the spots that the glue was is broke of and it didnt grow back for 1 year. I wa smad s o know I get clip on extensions.
Yes! Glue in hair extensions will damage your natural hair. You should look into clip in hair extensions. They won't damage and they can even protect your hair. Clip in hair extensions are less than the glue in ones. The Synthetic extensions last about the same amount of time the glue in ones do. And the Human hair clip-ins will last a year or longer. It seems, you get a lot more bang for your buck with clip ins AND they don't damage your hair.
Clip extensions are by far the most superior. They are fast and easy to put insert and remove, safe, reusable and very economical. It takes about 10-15 minutes to insert an entire head of clip extensions, versus 8 hrs at a salon for tiny glue bits of strand extensions. Glued extensions WILL damage your hair. It is a messy job when it comes to removing them too. The roots of your hair will weaken when you try to remove the glue so be careful. Also you cant put conditioner on glued extensions as it will cause the extensions to slip out.
Try www.hairinaminute.com for clip extensions. The synthetic starts at about $50 and the human hair is about $140. They have an instruction manual on how to put them in so it will not be hard at all. Good luck and I hope you look beautiful!
I would think clip in, Then you can take them out whenever you want.
Clip in for sure!
I had mine glued in once and it sucked pickles sooo bad.
They sometimes hurt, uncomfortable and lumpy and your hair get really messy and tangle!
Clip in hair extension are much better!!
Clip -in, because you can re-use them. As your hair grows, they can be moved back, closer to the newgrowth area.
Human hair is better.
Synthetic will fray from normal use and it can not be styled with any heated styling implement. The heat will melt it!!
Free advice from a stylist.
Neither.
clip ins!
i had glue ins big mistake!
so much of my hair was falling out
but clips ins
are realll good
just have to know how to put em in right
you can buy 18' at sallys for like 40 bucks
and the clips for like 3
and sew em on the weft yourself
or buy 70 dollar ones already sewn on the clips
clip-ons, Sewn one, braided on.. or is there a better one...
I have clip-ins. They are going on 6 months.
They work great, and since you can remove
them easily, they can be taken out for bed,
swimming or anything else.
Any other type of extension WILL damage your hair.
And they wont last half as long as clip ins.
I suggest real hair clip-ins.
They are great!
I've heard a lot of good reviews on clip in hair extensions. Its the least damaging to your own hair.
And money wise, they're cheaper.
The answer above mine has more info, take her word for it
:D
I am a new salers in a Chinese hair products factory. I have searching two months but I can't find my client. I want to know where I can find the client, he/she need wigs toupee hair extensions or synethetic hair products
I think the hair salon may try your product. Good luck ! : )
I'm wanting hair extensions by someone that does not cost a fortune who is known to be of high standards. Can anyone help?
Contact Dome on 08002987780, they are specialists in extensions, and have people all over the country on their register,Dome are the market leaders in this field
Have you tried searching Yell.com
Depends on who is doing them, but yeah for the most part they do look natural and most times they look very cute! Good luck.
all depends on if the person doin the hair is good....cause some peoples hair juzt look a hot mess.....but others dont
hair extensions can look natural if u get the right colour. be sure to try out different colours until u get the right one.
They don't FEEL natural - particularly if your man likes running his fingers through your hair!!
i dont think so ...
there strawy + thick
i think growing hair is so much nicer and your GUARENTEED to get a perfect colour match :)
x
if your natural hair is cut right, at the bottom, and the colors match PERFECTLY, so it all blends in, then they should look pretty natural.
but, if they're superlong [like 18" or more], they probably will not look natural.
depends on the quality and how they are put in
i have clip in extensions that are made with high quality virgin ( means that they have never been dyed/bleached) human hair and are an exact colour match
it took a bit of practice but i can now put them in really good and i when i say that its extensions people never knew and are like " really ?"
so as long as they are decent hari and done correctly they are great
some look really fake though
if they are the wrong colour or them plastic-y cheap ones or if you dont have enough and there are just a few straggly extensions it looks bad x
good luck x
how can something unnatural look natural ??
NO they look ratty and gross. stick to natural hair.
Hey Hun!
Depends, If they are clip-in ,( i have in now) they need loads of treatment for moisture since they dont create their own, they look dry, Also need cut into your hair ,( but any hairdresser will do this)
You also might need 2/3 depending o n the thickness of your hair :]
Real extensions look real As long as you mosisturise etc etc, However letting them dry naturally whilst in your hair, Will look odd, as they probably arent as straight/curly as your natural hair, so you'd need to so something about it. E.g straighten it ( They are bad for your hair though)
Glue In ones are basically the same :] But i hear they hurt!
I'd recomned Clip In. Mine were 鎷?3 each and I lvoe them! ( i have 2 i wear)
You can change them whenever you want, and change the colour for highlights. E.g you can wear brown with blonde ones and it looks nice. Just make sure the colopur is chosen by the hairdreser, becasue Its REALLY hard to get it right.
Dont buy the cheap ones in Clothes shops! They look so unnatural! Human hair is far better.
Good Luck :]
if its the right colour.. and you get them done pro.. then yes
hi i am an hairdresser and really you should go and pay in a good hair salon for your extensions cause they will look perfect and natural also they use the real hair so its stays more healthy. you can put them in yourself as i know many people that do and they do look nice you can also buy the clip in ones which are good just backcome your hair the clips are going first. hope that helped x
i use clip in ones they look natural %26amp; no one can tell i have them in they cost quite alot though mine were 鎷?0/$100 arround i think :S TRY THEM THEY R BETTER THAN HAVING THEM GLUED IN :)
They can do if you have some good ones fitted by an experienced stylist.
But they can also look very false if not fitted correctly.
Depends if they`re real hair extensions or fibre ones, if you use all the right products for extensions, and visit the hairdresser who put your extensions in at least monthly so any that`ve fallen out, etc.
It depends. On Blacks it looks natural when done correctly. But White who wear them it doesn't look natural because their texture/color of hair is hard to match.
depends on the sort of extension, where you get them from, who puts them in..
i think they do for the first couple of weeks but after that no you can see them....
no the clip on ones are quite safe as you remove them daily and then place them on different strands of hair.
however if you are thinking of having permenant ones then make sure you think about it with great thought. i had a full head of them in and i havn't felt pain like that since i gave birth!!! my whole head felt as though someone was pulling out my hair and when you lie down the pain gets worse. i returned to the salon to complain as it cost 400.00 and they said that yes if you are head sore (if you have a pony tail in and your head feels sore when bobble removed) then extensions are not for you. they removed them and gaveme a 100.00 refund!!! costly nightmare. also i noticed that tiny strands of hair were being pulled out due to the tension on the hairs and the stylist said when it falls out alltogether we just replace it somewhere else. bald spots appeared!!!!!
stick to clip in ones if i were you!!!
better than real extentions i guess...
Clip ons are less painful and least expensive.
There are also other ways to make your hair fuller, longer, and more volumptuous....
Sew in extension- your hair is braided into cornrows and the track is sewn into your braid with a crochet needle. Lasts a long time and the comfort will depend on how tight your hair is braided and how much expertise the weaver has. Average cost is about $300 depending on the state you live in.
Glue in extension- YOur hair is parted in rows or however you want the style, and the track is glue to the part in your hair. Now this method can be painful and leave you bald. It is a cheap and fast way, but however there are weavers that charge the same as if you were getting them sewn in.
Then there is anothe method for sewing. YOur hair is put in a wrap and then a net is placed on your head. The track is sewn in from the nape of your head in a spiral all the way around until it reaches the edges to the front. Then the hair can be cut, styled in any way you like it. It is not painful, unless the crochet needle sticks you a couple of times, the end of the needle is very dull.
This is as much as I know about hair extensions.
got mine in the other day
and they're already really dry and ratty at the ends
i've only washed them once since i got them done 2 days ago!
i didn't realise they would do that so fast.
what can i use to make them look better and more healthy
Condition them a lot
garnier sleek and shine overnight conditioner.
there r thousands of products. try taking a shower with lotsa shampoo for ur lotsa hair.
the same you do to make your hair look better and healthier :]
if its human extensions it should react the same one would think.
Try some Herbal Essence shampoo and maybe a little coconut oil ;)
Although i am no professional, about hair extensions, yet i have a good idea on how you can make them more healthier, you can put some moisturizing lotion on , just lightly rub it in, not too much to damage the hair, but just enough, as you would to normal hair, so it looks natural. And if all still doesnt go well, maybe you should go back to the seller, and explain what happened, hoping for an exchange. Best of luck!
use something that controls frizz and then flat iron it after that if it doesn't work go back to the salon it get the first one or someone elase to redo it it should be free but if not you should be abel to get your money back
jessica simpson's line is great.
they stay on.
also any well known salon should have good extensions.
hope this helps.
the new Jessica Simpson line!
hair do by jessica simpson is the best
The Jessica Simpson extensions are not made to leave in any longer than a one night event... you can use them over and over but they just clip in. If your looking for extensions that last months at a time go with individuals... it's not the company name it's the type. "Tracks" glue in or braid in are so damaging and I'm guessing you want extensions because of what you see on celebs.. they have individuals and keep in mind their extension jobs cost about $2000 or more!!
wefted or know as tracks i wnat some so bad!! you glue them in
It's really hard to keep hair extensions in very fine hair. If you get braids they will slide out. It is best to get tracks sewed in. Try this hair called Dream Weave. It's high but it's worth the price. It's human hair and it feels just like yours.
your better off going to the hairdressers and having the =m weaved they will put the amount u need in.you can buy the hair quite cheap 鎷?0 and get someone to glue them in for you but if unsure what they are doing best not to try this.their are different kinds weaved, bonded or glued i preffer weaved when have the money they last longer and look better but having a friend who does extensions i get the hair she puts them in with glue in strips.hope this has helped.x
hi there
its advisable not to have extensions on very fine hair. All extensions, even done to the highest quality will put strain on the root area causing breakage. You can buy human hair clip in extensions which give a natural look also.
Thats what i suggest. Try having choppy layers broken up by some soft high or low lights. It makes the hair appear thicker.
weaved or, you could, of course, wear a wig.
Balmein on a strip, expensive but it really does look good
jessica simpson's line is great.
they stay on.
also any well known salon should have good extensions.
hope this helps.

what are they made out of ? how much would they coast ( clip in ones ) are they any good ?
hi. i have thinning hair so i use my clip in extensions, they aremade out of human hair and nobody can ever tell where my own hair is when ive got them in because they look so natural. they are called wefts and i brought mine from sallys hair and beauty shop for 15.99 a weft. they are not that hard to put in yourself either. i just put mine in when im going out somewhere nice. you can wash them like your own hair, straighten them, curl them even and its the glue in ones that may have ruined the ladys hair up top answer
They are good for your look but it is not healthy for your natural hair it will damage it I try it and now I have to fix my hair back
Extensions? You mean fake hair?! Girl, you better weave that alone!
clipin dont hurt. we have a hair business and i ordered me some clip in so i can have highlights.i dont color my hair so im gonna try it this way. yahair.com
Not for me I'm bald
the clip on ones are not that good, dont get those jessica simpson ones. my friend just did mine, they are pieces and they are held on by a protein. the price varies. if you live in california I can tell you where to go for a good price.
these boys that are answering dont know that most of the girls who they think look hot have extensions in.
I had mine done three months ago. The hair was separated in to three section and the real European hair was weaved in. It's much better than having the hair glued in. The hair does take some looking after. Always plait it before you go to bed and don't wash it every other day like I would my own hair. I can do that to my own hair that shows on top. I was really pleased with mine and I still am. My own hair is very fine and looses shape really easily. The hair that I have now can be curled and straightened and it stays like it all day. Try it and if you don't like it have it taken out. I paid the grand sum of 鎷?5 in a place called Princess in Southsea, Hants and it's brilliant. She matched the exact colour to my own hair.
hiya i have mono-fibered hair extensions - this is not real hair and is not glued in its platted in at the top so it does not damage your hair i have had mine in for over 3 years now and i get them re-done every 5 months and it cost me 鎷?150.00 for a full head which is dead cheap - well worth the money as it gives ya loads more confidence with your new long loxs xxxx
My niece had those extensions that are glued in, after 6 months she has ended up with a massive bald spot.
hair extentions are made out of peoples hair and they dont get paid for it
they also damage your hair did you see victoria beckhams bald patch from her extensions?
Hair extensions are great. They are made from synthetic materials. Rubber. They are great. They are used to add volume to hair styles or disguise baldness. Its all fun and you get to create an illusion in the process.
I'm a hair ext specialist and do them in my own salon. fusion bonds r best. but dont think the cheapest is best. 100% human r the way to go as u can wash, blowdry, curl etc. the shorter ur hair the more u will need. 1/2 head if ur hair is shoulder length and average thickness. full head only for really short hair. dont get conned!;) i've never charged more than $700(in australia) and never had one unhappy client. just make sure u trust ur stylist first. ask questions and ask around to ppl who know. good luck! ps contact me if ur in sa;)
Totally safe, I have tried some years ago and the experience was great. My hair got long and stylish within minutes
if you forget your wearing them i guess they could be, ge caught in something... you can probably get inflammable ones too
I don't think they've killed someone yet, but they can weaken your own hair roots if you wear them for a long time.
Yeash. It's probaly the safest thing for hair.
where can i find some???????
you didnt really say if you want permanent or clip ins.
so you didnt really give us much to work with.
but if your looking for clip ins
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?lis...
best quality %26amp; price around
and she custom designs them to your taste
she also sells a full set for $60
What does the fact that you're white have to do with anything? All the people I know who wear clip ins are white...go to a beauty supply store. Somewhere they sell hair extensions. That's generally where you can buy hair extensions.
go to hairuwear.com and click on jessica simpson. Her line has diffrent lengths, styles(straight wavy) and colors. To find a salon near you click on hairdo store locators and type in your zip code and how far u are willing to travel to get them and ur results will pop-up!
Some makes can deopending on how much hair your talking about that is gone already. Hair extensions are just what they sound like EXTENSTIONS so the hair peices are woven into your OWN hair so it always looks so natural. If u have SOME hair Im sure they could work with that but if u have Nop hair- go sexy and grow a small gotee and WOW them with your new look! If your um a guy that is! lol
Depends where you are bald.
if you use enough, so do toupes....usually on men though
aren't hair extensions for you to clip on to whatever hair you have? hows that gonna work if you're bald? but a wig would work well!
How? What would they extend from? Do you mean a small patch? Sure.
I don't want to bleach my hair but I want to do something different. So if you could look at my picture below and give me some ideas I would appreciate it:]Also what is your idea on me and hair extensions?
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6lwapmq%26amp;...
Unless you are willing to splash out on hair extensions, I wouldn't go for them. Alot of girls I know have them and unless they are done well, they look a bit tacky. I think your hair would look nice about medium length, with some choppy layers, a blunt side fringe and feathered around the face. Can't find any pictures -sorry. As for colour I wouldn't change it, but if you feel you have to, go a couple of shades lighter than your natural colour
Good Luck - hope it looks nice xx
you should definatly not bleach your hair, it drys it out so bad and creates breakage. i think its really cute when someone has dark hair and platinum blonde tips [i'm actually getting that done this thursday] it would also look good if you dyed the under part of your hair blonde. good luck =]
hair extensions is ok.try it for a change.
donate some to the guy with you in the pic ;)
Ah... just kidding!
i think that you would look really cute with some highlights. maybe a dark caramel color? your hair is cute :)
about hair extentions, i think that they're ok as long as they don't look too fake.
naa, no bleach. Keep it the same color. maybe get some nice layers and side bangs.
how about a reddish tinge.. it would look great in black hair
dont die it. get layers up to your shoulders or something.
That depends on what quality you want with your extensions. Some stylist will let you buy the extension and just charge you to put them in. I do not suggest this. Others will just charge a set rate. I don't even suggest this. Most of these will glue into your hair at the scalp. As a result you will have damage to that area and take the chance of being out one night and having an extension fall out on the dinner table! I have a girlfriend who has a bald patch from these glue in extensions. She has to keep a patch glued in to keep from noticing it. Not good. Then only extensions I know of that have science to back them up and that I have never heard anything bad about is Great Lengths. These are real hair extensions, not synthetic, and the strands are bonded to your hair. They are very expensive but you get what you pay for. The price will vary based on thing like if you want volume and how much or length and how long. If you look at Great Length site it will walk you through the process and give you a salon in your area that is licensed to apply them. The are usually in the couple thousand range but you can go to the salon for an estimate/consultation. If your serious about extensions get it done right to avoid damage. Otherwise stay away from the cheap stuff. I plan on getting Great Length is about a month. Check out the site if for nothing else a little education on the subject.
I HEAR THEY ARE EXPENSIVE (FROM TV ADS). MY OPINION: THEY DAMAGE HAIR AND SCALP. HOW DO YOU SHAMPOO YOUR HAIR?
I have had extensions placed.they are pretty easy to care for and you can wash your hair you just have to be a little gentle around the attachment spot. My hairstylist charges $7.00 per strand and she used about 20 strands to add fullness. Not all hair extensions are of the same quality, through trial and error we have found the Cinderella hair to be the best. I have had mine in since Feb 10th. You can find guidelines on how to care for them on the net. I have gone swimming with mine and they have also passed that test. The strands can last up to 6 mos. Good luck!
ALOT!
they run anywhere from $100 to $2500 a pop. for good ones i mean. haha. so unless you have alot of money, and can afford to splurge, get a volumizing, and filling shampoo and conditioner and products,
Paul Mitchells brand. theyre a little more expensive, (about $7 - $27 a bottle) but much much cheaper than extensions...
also i like johnothan salon products; really expensive, but work wonders
It depends if you buy it from the store it would cost you around 15.00 to 50.00 dollars, but if you go to the salon and ask the person to do it you are looking at 120.00 to 170.00 dollars.
It depends where you are and who you use I charge 5.00 a track it don't take that much to add fullness you can achieve it with about 5 strips so you're looking at 50-55 dollars
Hair extensions are very expensive and only last for a short period of time. Unless your hair is super thick, avoid these. Expect to lose alot of hair when they get removed causing it to look thinner than before and it will take forever to grow back.
Sure.
I am getting some extensions on Wednesday at a salon and I just wanna know what to expect.
They should not. If they hurt tell your stylist to reposition them. they will be very similar to barrettes, so they are capable if hurting if they are not put in evenly and put the whole weight of the barrette on one strand of hair that has become misplaced of pinched in the clip.
They will feel heavy, but not too bad, certainly not to any point of being painful. Have you ever put a ponytail up and after taking it down when you've had it up all day it kinda hurts a little bit from repositioning the follicle? that should be the extent of any discomfort you should expect.
No extensions should ever hurt, sewed, glued, microrings, whatever. If they hurt they might cause traction alopecia from putting too much stress/weight on the living hair follicle causing it to shed the hair. If you have pain you need to take the painful ones out asap!
Clip ins are easy to work with though, hon, so you should be fine.
NAH! they shoulnd't hurt a bit.
i've had them before and everything that person said is correct. lol. =]
have fun and good luck!
best of luck.my wishes to ya!!
Err, no. They're applied differently depending on how much the person paid and what they asked for.
Do you like them or wish you had never had them putin?
ext. quality is the answer...the quality of the hair and the experience of the person putting them in, also the technique they use, ie, glue, thread, etc... always go to someone who you've seen their work....buy quality hair..cheap hair tangles and rats up...ugh...pay extra if you really want it to look good...glue will take out your hair, and seems to come out at the most in opportune times...i like sewn in better...the glue is a real mess...
it depends on the hair. some ppl got it and it looks natural and some people's just look fake
They R really cool, and they don't look fake. They will burn off if you use a flat irno too much. It happened to my friend.
yes it is called weve duh no weve is like saying you have horses hair
I love mine. I had Great Lengths put in. They do tangle tho - you have to brush your hair a few times a day. Mine don't look fake at all. They make some that are removable. I just heard about those. They have clamps instead of glue and once you buy them, you can reuse them, which is pretty cool!
i did have them for a long time. but it is very expensive! (good quality ones) but if you put your hair in a pony tail at night, it should avoid a majority of tangles! it only looks fake if one day you have short hair..then the next you have long hair, but overall, i loved having them!
love em. it hurts a little when theyr first put in, but beauty is what count. your hair tangles when you take em out
It depends on the type of hair, go to a professional and they will decide if your hair is right - probably best to mention going for something equally expensive if your hair will look awful with them so they don't try and get you to have them just for the cash...
It depends on how your hair actually is. Also, do you know someone who can put it in perfectly well and that he or she does it for a small price? If so, than you are just very, very lucky.
WEAVES and HAIR EXTENTIONS can look natural as long as you get the best hair! YOu have to do your research! If your Black and have relaxed hair The best brand for us is called REMI VELVET or REMI PLATNUM. Those look just like relaxed hair And they are smooth and soft! you treat it like your own hair! It has a beauty of it's own! I love it I use it when i have my weaves done!
I have had extensions and they looked awesome!! I bought the extensions as Sally Beauty Supply, for $30; and yes it was real hair. The hair expands after it gets wet; so after being in the ocean all day I used a flat iron to straighten my hair. I personally love extensions and look forward to having them again.
While they are fairly expensive (about $75 per row), they were really cool at first. I had them ... however, I did get tired of the pulling on my hair and not being able to wear my hair certain ways, because they will show if you aren't careful. It is not damaging to your hair if they are done right and removed correctly.
Thanks :) ... if you are really serious about trying it out, just to experience long hair for a while ... it was fun for a change :) Report It
no, very damaging AND expensive
They are also called ring extenison but individually installed. I am a hairstylist and I am looking for a place to buy these extensions in Canada. Does anyone know who may sell them.
Try ebay and then I found this website
http://www.ec21.com/ec-market/loop_rings...
I looked all over, but couldn't find them in Canada
I been wondering since i'm planning to get them soon.
jessica simpson has a line for hair extentions
You can use them for however long you want to. They have some that adds volume as well.
If you want to go to a professional, you can get human hair and get it weaved in....not glued
well theres no real kinds, you should get them professionally done if youre getting them, kinds that you glue in, ruin your hair, when you take them out, they pull out your hair and will just make your hair flatter than it already is.
i bought bright red extensions so they arent going to look really all that natural. i just want to know the best way to put them in to make them look the best. thanks!
what i would do is like put them in the bottom layer of your hair kinda like Avril's Lavinie's and that will make it way more real
put them under neath
=]
where did u get them ive been looking fer them forever!
message me:]
put them in under a layer of hair.
Put them under all of your hair, and leave all of your hair down.
Put them under a layer of hair and make sure to put a lot of hair spray before and after putting it on so that it stays there.
Im planning on getting clip in extensions and know that they are sold at Sally Beauty Supply. If you ever had them, were they worth the money and did they last long?
If you're talking about Sally Hansen then those products are really good.
they work really good and its up to you how long they last. dont use heat on them......
Yes, I used them, and they stayed in really well and looked really natural.
id been debating about getting them myself because they cost to much for me not to like them
but i just recently bought them %26amp; ive never had extentions before
theyre SO easy to put in and match my hair perfectly
if you want them styled with your hair i reccomend
going to a sylist or if you want to cut them yourself getting a razor to make it more natural looking
but either way put them in first then take them out one by one and number them that way theyre always in the same place
No they suck. Buy some hair cheap like on ebay. Then get some application materials, and a training dvd. I did this and my friend was able to put them in my hair. now we are going to do my neighbor's hair too. check this website out.
http://extensiontraining.com
I might be interested but I don't want to pay a hundred dollars for extensions if I'm only gonna wear them for a week. That's just stupid. And how good are the ones you can get from sally's? Any personal experience would be fantastic!
I believe 6 weeks, but you have to go back once a week and check them.. things like that..You can get them from sallys, but the hair stylict doesnt want you to-- they want you to buy theres. which of course are more expensive
Well it matters on wut kind of brand u get. i remember wen i had extensions i 4got wut brand is was but it started with an L. don't get it trust me (p.s. choose my answer as best answer if it helps u)
three months
It depends on whether you get glued on, or clipped on extensions. I believe the clipped on ones last longer.
my hair dresser said it would 2 or 3 months if u didn't wash it evertday %26amp; took care of it.good luck
how long extensions last mainly depends on the method of application. they are listed below in least to highest price order and shortest to longest lasting.
1.glued in: you can do this @ home with a friend's help (or at a salon) if you go to a Sally's and have them help you find hair to match. Use the dry clear clue unless you have dark skin and hair. (strong smell) You can use synthetic hair but I recommend human hair, the best you can afford. less shedding and you can curl it, flat iron it and etc. I do a lot of these for proms. lasts a few days for most people, up to a month. however long you can keep them in I guess. can itch and feel funny, you never forget they are in. can't wash your hair properly and etc. with human hair you have a better chance of it looking good and using it again another time. $
2.clipped in: do a search online for these products. they can be synthetic or human hair. similar to the ones now available at Sally's. I personally use the HairDo line from Jessica Simpson %26amp; Ken Paves and recommend it to my salon clients. I have the long wavy in synthetic and also the mid length straight and wear them a few times a month. I usually order them direct but I think a client said they saw them on QVC. very good quality and easy to use. I wouldn't spend the money to get human hair in this, synthetic is fine. just order the ones to go with how you normally wear your hair, curly, wavy or straight. it is best to have shoulder length hair with little layering to wear them, but you can also do what I do since my hair is a bit shorter and layered, I tease the top crown and pull hair back from the sides and top and clip it over the extensions in back and do side swept bangs. you may need to bobby pin the hair on the sides of your nape so it doesn't stick out under the extension piece. they can be washed and used again and again. lasts as long as you want to keep them in and can be put in by yourself easily. $$
3. sewn in: best to get done at a salon. a stylist will braid your real hair (must have at least 4 inch length at crown to hide braids or tracks as they are called) to the scalp in rows and will then take blonde or dark thread and a special needle and sew the hair in sections to it. again, can use synthetic or human hair. human hair again lasts longer and can be reused. will last 3 months or so until you have to go back in and have it redone. $$$
4. human hair extensions bonded: there are many extension systems out there that salon stylists use. Cinderella hair and other companies make a system that has a little plastic tube like attachment that is bonded to the shaft of the hair with a special heating tool. once in they can last for up to six months or so. you can wash them as you would your normal hair, use heat tools and etc. you need to use a special brush to care for them as the little bonds can still be felt on the hair and a normal brush would pull on them. $$$$
Another type of human hair extension system is a keratin bonding system. in this the hair is actually bonded to the hair chemically with heat. you will not be able to feel the bonds in the same way as the other method. you would have to go in and get check ups on the hair, braid it in long tails at night to prevent tangling and it is recommended to use special shampoos and conditioners. this system can last up to a year. $$$$$ ($1,500 %26amp; up)
HTH, sorry so long! I have had all but the last ones, and have seen them on clients. they are the best but so expensive!
I would say about 2-3 months. I depends on what you get, I usually get a cap or a sew in and that is what determines how long it stays for. The cap is basically when your own hair is pulled up or braided and a cap is put on to which hair is glued, think of it as a personal wig, for that I tend to use synthetic hair. The sew in is when your own hair is braided and then the tracks are sewn in. I actually have that right now and the good thing with this is that it allows versatility depending on the style you have.
The key to keeping it in long though is regular visits (every 2 weeks or so) to your hairstylist to tighten as needed and to wash properly. Because of how the hair is styled it is good to have it done professionally once a week or every two weeks as you see fit.
Hope this helped.
Im really confused on where to get them. Would they sell them at my salon? Or is there certain places that have better extensions than others. When I get them, would I just take them to my salon and they would put them in for me?
I've heard different things from different people, but I'm still not sure. I've never bought them before and I would really like the best. Money is not a problem, so I dont mind if they're expensive.
And also, how long do they usually stay in for before they come out?
Well if money is not a problem then go to your local salon and ask for a profesional hair extensionist. (I actually went to Mexico and got them done for very cheap, and it was just beautiful, spent bout 500) then I went to my hairstylist out there in Vegas and she would re-touch them (she was surprised how much they charged me, considering the quality of the hair, she said she would of charged me $2,500 WOW!!)
Don't go buy extensions and a beauty supply place like Sally Beauty Supply, the quality of that hair is not good (you would know by the price) So, just go to your salon and I'm sure they will have someone who specializes in extensions and they will ofer you what they have (usually better quality then buying from store) Plus they studied that so they would know what they are doing, and if you get a real good hair stylist, they will dye your hair or the extension to match your hair exacly, maybe even add some highlights to your hair and the extensions to add a more natural look.
Oh and a haircut so it blends it with your hair. (make sure your stylist does this)
The first month you have your extensions, a few here and there are going to fall off (save them for your next visit and she will put them back on)
You will need to go often for re-touch though because your hair grows and they need to attach them closer to your scalp because if you dont they will fall out much more easily, when you comb and stuff they seem to get stuck.
Go at least once a month to get them fixed (bout 50 bucks each visit) and they should be fine!
Save them when they fall off though cuz they are expensive!!!
Good luck!!
Glad I could help!!
One more thing, don't let them glue them on, ask to have those bracket things on to keep them in place. I had the brackets and my cousin had them glued, you should of seen how her hair turned out when she took them off.
Good Luck! Report It
There are two answers to this question.
1) Yes you can buy them at a salon and do them yourselves. There should be instructions on how to inside the packets. Most beauty SUPPLY stores have them. I would recommend Sallys.
2) Salons do, do extensions. You can get them in all different colors. My friend has them in blue.
I would suggest getting them done at a salon so they look the best. I don't exactly know the price, just call and ask.
Hope this helps. :-)
Go 2 a local Korean hair store! If u live in Tallahassee,FL. I will did it 4 you! I'll charge u about $25. Depends on how long your hair is and the style!!
My advice is to avoid them altogether. Some hair extensions can cause damage to the hair follicles, as the added weight puts tension on your natural hair. In some instances, this can even lead to permanent hair loss - a condition known as "traction alopecia."
The answer above mine has more info, take her word for it
:D
I wanna get them..I dont wanna spend alot of money on them..how are they?
I would recommend getting them done i have them and they are great i already have long hair but wanted it longer and they look just like my hair, i went to my hairdresser it was quiet expensive but you can find cheaper places just shop around. even try eBay and buy there hair yourself and take it to a hair dresser they should be able to do it for you. good luck
Depending on where you live you can buy cheap extensions at a hair store. If you dont want to spend a lot of money you will probably be buying horse hair or synthetic. The expensive hair is made out of human hair... If styled correctly/nicely either should look good.
Most of the time the kinds they glue in your hair end up looking fake and are a PAIN to remove. Having them braided or "weaved" in is very costly. I would suggest trying a snap in kind that you can put in and remove easily. Google Jessica Simpson hair extensions and you will see the product she is the spokesperson for. This may be your best bet.
I have shoulder length hair and I wanted my hair above my breast and I priced Great Lengths, at a nice salon and it was outrageous over $1300 CRAZY.
YES!!! especially because they ruin your hair!!!! =D so if you want to ruin your hair then that is an excellent idea!!!! yay!!!! =D thnx for my input!!!!
well they aren,t bad if you get tie in ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try the Salon Kai in Salt Lake and ask for Brittany. She is the absolute best!!!
what type? professional any salon that does extensions.. and clip in ones.. try a place like sally's
=) just interested in all the opinions out there.
i think they are good looking, done by a professional, however, when you can see the join, it negates the effect of the hair style .. %26amp; makes it look shabby.
tacky
Tacky.
I think they're nice of they're done really, really well.
Why would you want fake hair?
tacky, especially when they start to fall out and you can see the strands of glue!
I think it is ok in MODERATION. Some people take it overboard and make it TACKY. They arent very good for your hair, but I guess people will do anything to make themselves beautiful, no matter what the consequence. Personally, I dont wear them, but I am not gonna knock anyone else for it unless they deserve it. LOL.
Some Hair Extensions Are Tacky, The Synthetic Ones Which Are Made From Plastic Only Last About 2 Or 3 Weeks, Whereas Human Hair Extensions Last Longer. Synthetic Hair Extensions Are Cheaper Than Human Hair. So If Your Looking For Extensions For A One Off Occasion, I'd Recommend Synthetic. But *NEVER* Wash, Dry Or Straighten Them, As Straighteners Singe %26amp; Melt Them, Especially GHDS. Some Human Hair Prices Range From 鎷?5 - 鎷?00 Depending On The Colour And Length.
MY grandaughter had them put in once. After a week they started to itch and she lost some of her own hair trying to get them out. They looked good for about 3 days. Since she shampoos her hair every day I think they didn't hold up very well. The edges start to come loose.
Hi I would say tacky as no matter how well there dont, you can tell they are fake, why not just grow the hair long and have layers put in or anything at least then they will look more natural than fake bits of hair that dont match the rest of the hair. I people add expensive highlights to give body too the hair then surely they could use the money to buy decent shampoos and conditioners to keep there hair in good conditon, and it wont damage their hair either once they fall out, I think they are a waste of money too be honest and I dont think they look good on people either.
if they look really fake and the wrong colour then yes theyre tacky.
but if they look almost natural and the same colour as your hair then i think they look really nice!
i dont have them tho, even tho i want longer hair!
xXx
i had real hair extenstions they cost a fortune ,but looked gorgeous, really changed my apparance, but the down side to it is that they need a lot of care, they get knotted, tangled, and you have to be really carefull when you brush your hair as they do fall out, also i found that i had trouble sleeping as they dug in my head,if you feel as though you could cope with that then, they really do look fantastic when done by a proffesonal
It really depends on the texture and colour of your own hair and the extensions. natural hair extensions look more realistic but a professional must do them otherwise they look a shambles. And always research a suitable salon.
Great... although i use clip in ones, so you can have them or not have them whenever you like. They are around 鎷?7 a strip. Made of real hair and can be washed just like your own.
Tacky unless they are done really well!!!
I use clip in human hair one's and i bought a full head of them for 閳?5 this is very good value considering I don't even need all them in my head if I did i would look like a lion..
I recommend them especially the human hair because you can change your style all the time then.
Hello!
I agree. (alot of traits about Paris Hilton are TACKY!!!) However, if you check out certain celeb's x-tensions, they appear "stringy" also. EX: Victoria Gotti, (you can actually see where her "real" hair ends and the x-tensins begin!!) It's hard to believe that she appears on television that way! ( "Growing up Gotti, Channel64 in Chicago on A%26amp;E Network, cable T.V.)
C-ya!!! "Catnip"
E-Mail me @ cc64bestyet@yahoo.com
yeah its almost as bad as Nicole richie's extensions used to be
I just don't get people like you... WHO CARES ABOUT THAT SKINNY, NO TALENT, BIG NOSED SKANK??
Paris Hilton is a slut with nasty stringy hair...
like everything else fake, hair extensions just don't look quite like the real thing. one of my friends had them for the tune of seven hundred dollars. at a distance they looked great, but up close they were stringy and her real hair was shorter and it looked like someone just forgot to cut parts of hair. they hold a curl fabulously though.
got mine in the other day
and they're already really dry and ratty at the ends
i've only washed them once since i got them done 2 days ago!
i didn't realise they would do that so fast.
what can i use to make them look better and more healthy

I recommend them especially the human hair because you can change your style all the time then.
I was in a mood last week because my hair was getting on my nerves (to the tip of my upper part of my bra) and I wanted it cut.....yikes, told her to cut it above my shoulders!!! totally was not thinking that in 6 months i am getting married and need long hair for the half up/half down style. which website has the best clip in hair extensions? i had weaved in hair extensions before and hated them!! just want something that looks real that i can use for this night. i cant wear my hair totally in a updo because i hate my ears.
you can try http://youtube.com/results?search_query=... it is not a website were they sell the stuff, but you can get ideas and go to the local salon on what to get done

I've had both, and they are absolutly amazing!
They look so real but they are a bit pricey. Its worth it though
I'm a guy, so hair extensions are out of the question. i got it cut short for summer and now i hate it, i need it to grow fast!
Massage your scalp everyday. It should stimulate your hair growth.
grow it in the summer
Get your hair cut into a style that you really like. Trust me, it will grow:)
Try lush new shampoo bar, it stimulates hair growth and I am happy with the results. Check the source for more information and review.

no the clip on ones are quite safe as you remove them daily and then place them on different strands of hair.
however if you are thinking of having permenant ones then make sure you think about it with great thought. i had a full head of them in and i havn't felt pain like that since i gave birth!!! my whole head felt as though someone was pulling out my hair and when you lie down the pain gets worse. i returned to the salon to complain as it cost 400.00 and they said that yes if you are head sore (if you have a pony tail in and your head feels sore when bobble removed) then extensions are not for you. they removed them and gaveme a 100.00 refund!!! costly nightmare. also i noticed that tiny strands of hair were being pulled out due to the tension on the hairs and the stylist said when it falls out alltogether we just replace it somewhere else. bald spots appeared!!!!!
stick to clip in ones if i were you!!!
better than real extentions i guess...
This is as much as I know about hair extensions.
wefted or know as tracks i wnat some so bad!! you glue them in
It's really hard to keep hair extensions in very fine hair.
Balmein on a strip, expensive but it really does look good
Can someone tell me the average price of hair extensions? And are they worth it? I want to get pink ones.....
Give positive and negative experiences please.......
I have red ones.
I got really blonde ones at Sallys [Sally.com]
And they we're around $60. + hair dye.
But you can also have a hairstylest do it, for around $160-200. Depending on were you go.
Just make sure you get them blended after your done.
who knows
No negatives from me,
They're worth it hun.
But it's hella expensive,
depening on where you get them done i guess..
I'd say $80-$200 maybe MAYBE 200,
i had hair extentions a long time ago (about 3 years ago) i remember it was around
$150 or so.
Their usually straight though, so if ur getting them,
i say be ready to straighten ur hair.
Unless u get wavey ones?
Also,
You have an option with hair extentions
GLUE OR SEWING IN
Sewing it in is like a line they sew into the back of ur head kinda thing,
my friend Melody gets that done she said it doesn't hurt where she gets
her's done they numb it out,
but i dont know if that's for all places.
Glue works fine though and it lasts for a while +
no pain, but it doesn't last as long as getting them sewen in.
Hope this helps
=D
well, if your looking for them try hair shops but i think that would be awsome if u find them let me know!
xxeyeslikerainxx@yahoo.com
Well where i live it just depends on what kind of hair u get..the most you would spend in ny on jamaica avenue is probably 40.
hey there go to www.hairpolice.com...and the you can look for an affiliate in your hood..............im personaly in las vegas...and if i where to give you exstentions it would depend on what type of hair you would want to use and such...are you looking to get a full head done or just a bunch of pink?? cause if thats the case lets say you do an hours worth would give you about 25/30 exstentions and it would be around 80/120 ish it depends on the person that does them for you ... i have been wearing them for ever ...cause i can!! lol and i love having them the method we use is non glue or crap and they will last for 3 months ...they would stay in longer only its better for your own hair to either then get them tightend or taken out... well anyway check it ou!!
well if u want to get one tha was jus glued in your lookn at about depending on the length usually longer hair 18 inch is about 50$ 14 inch is about 30 depending on the color also depends wer u go but then again extentions will always b expensive
honestly, i don`t know...but i think they`re pretty expensive, depending on the amount, length, etc...
the starting price for real hair extensions is about 160.00 but, It all depends on what kind of hair you choose, the length, texture, also how you want them to put the extensions in either sewn in or glued. Dont get them glued in if you have fine hair or sensitive scalp it will irritate your skin and may possibly pull out some of your hair when you take it out... look around for the kind of hair you want it will be less expensive if you buy the hair yourself. good luck.
Some extensions prices are from $200-500. Depending on where you get them. I'd perfer going to a professional hairstylist to have this done. There are many different ways of putting them in like glue, or sewing them. It's tottally up to you if you think it's worth the money.
that would be flippin awesomee
i want some too!
